Overview
In this role, you lead the Westinghouse UK Operations, steering senior teams to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of the UK nuclear decommissioning programme. You’ll shape strategy, build capability, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong governance and safety standards. You work with clients, regulators, and partners to secure sustainable growth and delivery excellence across complex projects. Responsibilities
- Set and execute operational strategies aligned with growth and objectives
- Identify opportunities for market expansion and new service offerings
- Lead nuclear decommissioning operations with safety, quality, schedule and financial targets
- Act as executive link to European Decommissioning & Waste Management Group and other Westinghouse BUs
- Oversee delivery of multiple complex projects and programmes, including JV governance
- Ensure governance, assurance, and reporting frameworks are applied across operations
- Champion project management best practices and continuous improvement
- Promote nuclear safety culture and regulatory/compliance adherence
- Sponsor risk management, assurance, and quality governance
- Oversee HSE, environmental, security, and quality management arrangements
- Build strategic relationships with clients, regulators, and industry bodies
- Represent the company in industry forums and client leadership meetings
- Develop long-term framework agreements and partnerships
- Develop senior managers and multidisciplinary teams and workforce planning
Key requirements
- Significant senior leadership experience in nuclear, engineering consultancy, professional services, infrastructure, or highly regulated sectors
- Proven track record delivering complex programmes or portfolios
- Strong understanding of nuclear governance, safety culture, and regulatory expectations
- Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams across locations and projects
- Commercial acumen with P&L, resource planning and contract delivery experience
