As a Senior Project Manager you will work under the guidance of the Head of Projects (standalone project) or a Programme Manager (Programme/Workstream). The Senior PM is responsible for the delivery and project management requirements of a large project or several projects. You will report to the Programme Manager and be located at Springfield.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, directing and coordinating the team's activities to manage and implement project(s) and/or interrelated projects from initiation to final closure.
  • Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the Project(s).
  • Adheres to the established Project Management processes and governance arrangements, ensuring this is cascaded throughout the project(s).
  • Ensures QA arrangements are in place to provide assurance that reporting and adherence to Management Systems is robust.
  • Undertakes status review meetings on the project(s) for which they are accountable.
  • Ensures all reporting requirements are met for the Project(s) including external reporting, internal reporting and Governance Reviews.
  • Advises the Head of Projects or Programme Manager (where applicable) on matters of escalation, major concerns, risks, and opportunities within the Project(s).
  • Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues (including approval of contract variations and early warnings within appropriate levels of authority).
  • Actively promotes learning from experience and continuous improvement, working with the Head of Projects to identify and embed improvements within the PMO Team.
  • Works closely with the Customer Account Managers to identify, develop and maintain a pipeline of work for the client.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5‑7 or more years of applicable project management experience required.
  • Strong Leadership ability.
  • Ability to lead and direct complex team structures.
  • Able to develop relationships with stakeholders in upper management positions and client organisations.
  • Analyse problems, establish facts and make complex decisions.
  • Drive change/changes in working practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of budgeting and resource allocation procedures.
