You will have overall responsibility for supervising your shift team to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Conversion. You will undertake the role of Duly Authorised Person (DAP) following Site Licence Conditions, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety. You will deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People targets within Conversion. You will report to the Plant Manager and will be based at Springfields Fuels, near Preston.
Responsibilities
- Act as Duly Authorised Person as defined by Site Licence Conditions to ensure the safe operation of Conversion activities
- Provide guidance of a shift team within Conversion
- Ensure process safety and promote a safety culture in the workplace
- Deliver Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People target daily
- Work regularly with the Conversion Management Team
- Ensure the development of shift team members to meet operational capability and production targets
- Ensure all mandatory training for the shift team is completed
- Set goals and monitor KPIs for direct reports
- Complete daily supervisor routines and walkdowns
- Review operational documentation and perform management inspections and self-audits
- Undertake other tasks as agreed with the Conversion Plant Management Team
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in plant operations
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Previous experience in Conversion or chemical plant operations is advantageous
Skills
- Working knowledge of OFC operations and Conversion workstreams
- Experience supervising and leading teams in safe plant operations
- Completed or working towards Duly Authorised Person (DAP) appointment
- Experience improving individual and team performance
- Understanding of quality requirements and their impact on customers
- Demonstrate behaviours consistent with the nuclear safety culture and lead teams through clear direction, accountability, and engagement.
- Can demonstrate application of the Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) pillars, and how their actions have positively impacted performance within their current department
