As a L3 Business Administration Apprentice, you will receive high-quality training and on-the-job learning. Additionally, you will benefit from a supportive induction and mentoring programme. This comprehensive preparation will equip you for a rewarding career in the nuclear industry.
Development Journey
We’ll base you on site where you’ll complete college work, assignments, and a detailed portfolio alongside your role. You will work with several departments and with external partners, gaining an understanding of how other teams and partner organisations collaborate.
Your Training
Alongside practical administrative experience, you will develop main skills including communication, project management and teamwork. You will complete all tasks required to become a competent Administrator by the end of the scheme. This includes:
- Gaining experience across different areas of office administration
- Work with experienced colleagues in operational teams
- Follow company procedures to ensure compliance and governance
- Attend and support administration and training activities
- Communicate with all partners
- Develop an understanding of manufacturing operations and how resources, people, supplies and services support the business
Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grades 5–9 (A–C).
How We’ll Support You
We will support you throughout the programme, which may involve placements in one or more departments at Westinghouse–Springfields in Salwick, Preston. Toward the end of your apprenticeship, you will apply for internal vacancies.
Start date
If you progress to the next stage, we will invite you to an interview day and will have you complete assessments in Maths, English and Information and Communication Technology. You will start in the third week of August 2026.
