Job Title: Document Controller Lead

We are seeking a Document Controller Lead to oversee document control policies and procedures for a portfolio of projects. This role involves managing the full information lifecycle, from document creation, review, and approval to release, retention, and retrieval. The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for project documentation, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures, and managing the Document Control team by providing training, support, and guidance.

The position reports to the Programme Manager and is based at Springfields.

Responsibilities:

  1. Control all project documentation from creation to retrieval.
  2. Ensure revision, status, and stage control of documentation.
  3. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of electronic documentation and project registers.
  4. Manage the Export Control tracker and record activities.
  5. Manage the flow of information and document distribution lists.
  6. Monitor workflow for project management, engineering, design, and approval processes.
  7. Ensure auditability of document control arrangements.
  8. Produce weekly reports on outstanding deliverables and escalate issues as needed.
  9. Liaise with clients regarding quality control requirements.
  10. Maintain knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and legislation.
  11. Apply best practices in document control procedures.
  12. Manage electronic database systems effectively.
  13. Possess knowledge of design, vendor, construction, and NEC3 data processes.
  14. Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  15. Work independently and as part of a team, managing the document control team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in the nuclear industry and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in document control procedures and electronic management systems.
  • Knowledge of design, vendor, construction, and NEC3 data processes.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint; training on Westinghouse applications like Prime and SAP provided as needed.
