As a Plant Manager, you will manage all operational and tactical aspects of the production plant and support the Business Unit Head in strategic decision‑making. You will report to the Head of Uranium Recovery and we will base you on‑site at the Springfields Fuels site. This is an on‑site position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of safety compliance and continuous improvement, including implementing, managing, and strengthening the safety case, and developing and deploying strategies to improve plant and personnel safety.
  • Define and execute medium‑term operational strategies, with appropriate input from the SIOP process.
  • Champion and improve quality across the operational area.
  • Define, measure, and deliver a range of Key Performance Indicators (SQCPD) aligned to the strategic improvement of the Uranium Recovery Business Unit.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to deliver high‑quality, efficient, and robust operations and products.
  • Oversee the development of workforce, championing personal and professional development within the team.
  • Provide advice and guidance on technical aspects of plant operations.
  • Lead operational engagement with external customer representatives, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Set and monitor operational budgets, striving to deliver optimum value in the short to medium term.
  • As part of the Unit Leadership Team, contribute to the strategic direction of the Business Unit, including supporting growth opportunities and new product and process development where applicable.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering or Management degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent experience and knowledge in a relevant discipline.
  • Enthusiastic leader with the ability to define and communicate a medium‑term vision.
  • Strategic thinker with proven delivery experience.
  • Technical capability to develop a deep understanding of plant processes and the safety case.
  • Belief in team and personal development.
  • Experience in operations management.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills to set and achieve medium‑term objectives.
  • Experience in coaching and developing others.
  • Experience leading operations within a chemical plant is desirable but not essential.
