As a Customer Solutions Manager of ELA (EMEA, LATAM & Asia) Reactor Component Upgrades you will lead client engagement and tailor solutions to meet customer needs. You will be responsible for meeting with operating plant customers and understanding their specific requirements. Using this knowledge, you will lead a team to propose a unique offering. You will oversee the technical content, costing, pricing, responsiveness, and quality of each bid. We perform field services on operating plants to help them improve Nuclear Safety and manage the ageing of their assets, particularly in the Reactor Vessel Internals, Reactor Vessel and Reactor Vessel Heads. You will collaborate with Westinghouse Global Markets, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management to close on opportunities. You will also collaborate with Global Product Management to set product strategy, providing voice of customers and suggestions for product and service improvements to enhance value propositions. Finally, you will also be responsible for business financial goals including orders entered, opportunity pipeline growth, and margin as sold. You will report to the ELA Reactor Component Upgrades Manager. This is a remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop customer relationships to facilitate understanding of customer needs and create proposals with a value proposition to meet customer needs and secure Orders Entered (OE).
- Accountable for OE and opportunity pipeline growth for product/technology areas.
- Assess near‑term market trends, customer buying patterns and competitor moves to adjust product positioning.
- Prepare product promotion presentations and define its value proposition.
- Recommend price to capture maximum market value while delivering on business plan assumptions such as margin as sold; collaborate with sales to align on final price to customer.
- Collaborate with sales on capture planning and final order negotiations.
- Develop and implement business cases in consideration of Product Strategy to grow WEC market share in the segment.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand the status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, such as Operations, and Engineering resource managers, to ensure people, processes and technology are available to deliver offer commitments and promote market growth.
- Collaborate with resource managers to produce high quality proposals.
- Ensure good understanding of Intellectual Property aspects of offers and ongoing projects; facilitate needed discussions to develop position on IP.
- Jointly own approval for release of IP to external stakeholders (e.g., customers, 3rd parties) with Engineering.
- Collaborate and coordinate with your counterpart in AOMS, peer leaders in the other Product Segments to ensure cohesive approach to market and holistic customer support and satisfaction, collaborate to develop cohesive, joint proposals.
- Collaborate with Global Product Management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and innovation ideas.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years relevant experience in product management, product engineering, product resource management, business or operation with increasing progression and complexity and levels, MBA valuable.
- Demonstrate successful Project Management records.
- Demonstrate successful leadership achievements.
- Familiarity with the nuclear and energy environments.
- Background in leveraging customer feedback, commercial constraints, and business unit feedback/product management engagement to solve pain points and generate value based on return on investment.
