About the role:
As a Press Setter/Production Operative, you will be responsible for adhering to and meeting the Production Output to the MRP Schedules. You will work according to instructions given by the Line Manager and Production Coordinator to meet the requirements set out in the Company Values and Mission Statement. You will report to the Team Leader and be located at Springfields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refer to Quality Procedures
- Understand pressing processes
- Be trained or experienced in setting tooling
- Know and be trained in PUWER
- Be familiar with manufacturing processes
- Understand mechanical and fly press operation
- Refer to drawings and work instructions
- Use Micrometers, Verniers, and digital measuring equipment confidently
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform general duties as required by management
- Promote and adhere to press regulations, report concerns immediately
- Ensure a safe working environment (H&S)
- Maintain productivity standards
- Maintain discipline within your area
- Manage your time effectively to meet product delivery deadlines
- Promote good team morale
- Implement policies, procedures, and working documents as required
- Assist in training employees and support the team
- Update daily tick lists and charts within the required time frame
