Westinghouse Environmental Services UK is looking to recruit an early career professional to the radioactive waste team. The team works across the NDA estate and is expanding its resource and expertise pool across our portfolio of work.
You will be expected to have a scientific background, either through a formal degree or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in the nuclear industry is desirable but not essential. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and self-motivated staff who are keen to begin a career in the industry. The position is based at Springfields Fuels near Preston. You will report to the Principal Waste Manager and be located at Springfield.
- Input into the production of technical documentation for project work across a range of disciplines including radioactive waste management strategies, characterisation, DQO, and BAT.
- Contribute to bid work and proposals.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops by recording minutes.
- Interact with clients and peers to facilitate work and present results.
- Experience of working with nuclear clients both in the UK and internationally.
- Development of personal career pathway and development activities.
- Support radiation protection activities within the team.
- Undertake assessment of radioactive waste treatment methods and processes.
- Desire to engage and grow your contacts within the industry.
- Ability to obtain security clearance as required by projects.
