A long established bespoke construction company is seeking a QS Project Manager to oversee a range of small to medium scale projects across the south east. This role suits someone who has come up through a trade background—ideally carpentry or a similar hands on discipline—and progressed into Quantity Surveying, Project Management or a hybrid commercial/operational role.

The company delivers high quality, bespoke work, so this position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail, craftsmanship and working closely with clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing residential construction projects from pre construction through to completion
  • Cost planning, estimating and take offs
  • Preparing tender documentation, Bills of Quantities and subcontractor enquiries
  • Managing budgets, variations, CVRs and commercial reporting
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and quality
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
  • Ensuring compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards
  • Overseeing final accounts and project close out
About You
  • Background in a trade such as carpentry, joinery or similar
  • Experience in residential construction, ideally with bespoke or specialist projects
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of build processes
  • Confident managing budgets, subcontractors and client relationships
  • Able to work independently and travel to sites when required
  • Full UK driving licence
