Customer Service Advisor (Transport) Location: nr Maidstone Salary: From min £30,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (rotating shifts) * Week 1: 7:00am – 3:30pm * Week 2: 8:00am – 4:30pm About The Company This long-established and highly respected commercial vehicle repair and fleet support business based nr Maidstone. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional workmanship and outstanding customer service to commercial fleet operators and independent customers across the South East. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused individual to become the welcoming face of our company. The Role This is a busy and varied front-of-house position where no two days are the same. As the first point of contact for our customers, you'll play a key role in creating a professional first impression while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception and administration functions. They are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities * Welcome customers and visitors with a friendly, professional approach. * Answer incoming telephone calls promptly (within three rings wherever possible) and transfer calls to the appropriate department. * Receive and process customer jobs using a variety of customer and insurance platforms. * Carry out daily customer and job updates across multiple online systems. * Book vehicles into the business efficiently. * Arrange vehicle collections and deliveries, liaising closely with our professional drivers. * Maintain accurate customer records and administrative documentation. * Support the Depot Manager and workshop team with general administration. * Assist with invoice processing and administrative paperwork when required. * Ensure reception and customer areas remain tidy, welcoming and professional. * Provide refreshments for customers, including tea and coffee. About You You'll be someone who enjoys interacting with people and can remain calm, organised and positive, even when things get busy. You'll ideally have: * Previous experience in a busy automotive workshop/dealership environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A confident and professional telephone manner. * Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. * The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure. * Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly. * Experience within the automotive, commercial vehicle or workshop industry Personal Qualities We're looking for someone who is: Bright, energetic and enthusiastic.
