Are you a highly organised Administrator looking to build your career within a thriving construction environment? Our client, a successful and growing Main Contractor, is seeking a Bid Administrator to join their Pre-Construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in the coordination and administration of tender submissions, supporting Estimators, Bid Teams and Senior Management on a wide range of construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring tender documentation is managed accurately, deadlines are met and bid processes run smoothly from initial enquiry through to submission.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous administrative experience is essential
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Bid Administrator, Bid Coordinator, Tender Administrator, Document Controller or Construction Administrator
  • Experience within construction, engineering, property or professional services
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Knowledge of tender processes, bid submissions or document control procedures

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Pre-Construction, you will provide administrative support to the Pre-Construction and Estimating teams, helping to coordinate tender submissions, maintain documentation and ensure critical deadlines are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing diaries, meetings, interviews and tender submission schedules
  • Coordinating and maintaining tender documentation, addendums and correspondence
  • Ensuring accurate document control and version management
  • Distributing tender information to internal stakeholders
  • Monitoring key tender dates and submission deadlines
  • Recording and maintaining subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Supporting the preparation of bid submissions, questionnaires and tender documentation
  • Assisting with client presentations, project profiles and meeting documentation
  • Providing administrative support to Pre-Construction and Estimating teams
  • Maintaining project photography and company records
