Join Our Dynamic Team! We are looking for enthusiastic Registrar Doctors with experience in urgent and emergency care to become part of our dedicated team at the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) at Watford General Hospital. Our UTC provides same-day assessments and treatments for patients presenting with urgent, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
Main duties of the job
- Provide excellent direct clinical care, including clinical prioritisation, assessment, diagnostics, interpretation of results, treatment, self-care advice and onward referral or admission, under the overall supervision of a consultant but working at middle-grade level.
- Participate fully in the departmental rota, including evenings, nights and weekends as required by service needs.
- Work and liaise closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely, professional and appropriate care for all patients.
- Undertake training and development as part of the multidisciplinary team and support teaching for junior doctors, ACPs, ENPs, nursing staff and medical students.
- Support the Clinical Director/Clinical Lead in matters of service delivery, performance and service development, aligned with Trust business plans.
- Contribute to effective communication and staff engagement across the department, supporting the Department Manager and wider leadership team in achieving departmental objectives.
- Work in partnership with other departments and external partners (e.g. ED, primary care, ambulance service, community services) to deliver integrated urgent care.
