We are recruiting for a Band 6 Dietitian on a 6-month fixed-term contract to join our team of 17 Dietitians at Watford General Hospital. West Hertfordshire NHS Trust is a busy acute district general hospital, with the majority of the caseload now centralised at the Watford Hospital site. You will cover a variety of clinical areas including General Medicine and Stroke. The working days for this role are Monday and Tuesday.

Main duties of the job:

  • This would be an excellent role for an experienced B5 Dietitian wishing to progress and increase their knowledge, skills and experience in a stimulating and supportive environment.
  • The post is supported by a robust senior tier with a wealth of experience to help guide and support both your individual learning needs but to also strive to ensure that the best standards of care are provided.
  • A well-established supervision, probationary, and appraisal process is in place to help facilitate this.
  • We also offer In-Service training opportunities.
  • There are also opportunities for course funding both externally and through the department’s links with the University of Hertfordshire.

Person specification:

  • Education and qualifications: Health & Care Professions Council (UK) Registered Dietitian. Member of BDA. Membership of specialist group.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of appropriate dietetic treatment of patients with complex medical, and Stroke. Appreciation of CPD. Appreciation of audit.
  • Experience: Band 5 Dietetic experience in complex medical, or stroke.
