This role primarily supports the Gynaecology Admissions Waiting List Coordinators by coordinating booking of pre-assessment appointments, cancellations, re‑books, adding waiting list information to the electronic patient system and managing the Gynaecology Admissions Email Inbox.
Main duties:
- Adding patients to the waiting list on Cerner and providing breach date information to the WLC team.
- Adding external referrals to the system and departmental spreadsheet and booking POAs accordingly.
- Managing the Gynaecology Admissions Email Inbox and acting on emails.
- Transcribing waiting list card information.
Person specification:
- Good level of education (GCSE level or equivalent).
- Previous NHS experience, understanding of 18‑week targets and booking of theatre lists.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of NHS guidelines and systems; basic understanding of Cerner (PAS).
- Previous NHS experience with 18‑week targets and booking of theatre lists.
Experience:
- Experience of working in an office environment.
- Basic computer competence using Outlook, Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to scan documents using IT equipment.
- Previous clerical NHS experience.
