Responsibilities:
- Registered nurse to take charge of shift. Must have a valid UK NMC PIN.
- Oversee care workers by supervising care of residents.
- Dispense and record medication administration.
- Maintain records and other relevant documentation.
- Give nursing care as required, in accordance with clinical governance requirements and guidance and standards laid down by the NMC.
- Observe confidentiality at all times.
- Communicate effectively with other health workers and professional colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
- Be familiar with the Home’s policies and procedures, particularly those relating to nursing and care issues.
- Perform duties in accordance with National Minimum Standards, Health and Safety and other relevant legislation.
- Work as an effective team member and attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Maintain Revalidation folder and ensure that practice is kept up to date.
- Contribute to the training and development of staff as appropriate.
- Perform, as required, any duties that contribute to the effective running of the Home.
