Domestic and Laundry Assistant – Borehamwood, Hertfordshire
Location: Meadowhill Care Home, Castelford Close, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 4AL
Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour, plus 50p p/h weekend enhancement
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 8am to 4pm, 5 shifts across 7, including alternate weekends

About the role
- To clean all assigned rooms, paying close attention to all surfaces, floors and en-suite bathrooms
- Maintain and replenish all cleaning products
- Maintain hygiene and infection control procedures at all times
- Ensure that all equipment is clean, well maintained and stored properly
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, ensuring that all company operational standards are met in line with quality, cleanliness, infection control, health and safety and business needs
- Ensure that all public areas and staff facilities meet company standards at all times
- Ensure that all maintenance issues are reported immediately and followed up as required
- Ensure residents’ laundry is washed, dried, ironed, and returned in a timely fashion
- Sort, label, and safely store clothing and linen
- Operate laundry equipment (washing machines, dryers, irons) safely and efficiently
About you

- Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential
