Key Accountabilities & Role Requirements:

  • Broker Relationship Management: Support the day-to-day management of relationships with a portfolio of brokers across the UK and Europe. Act as a point of contact for broker queries, escalations, and operational matters. Assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of broker engagement activities, including meetings, presentations, and events. Build trusted relationships with broker contacts. Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery to broker partners.
  • Business Development & Market Engagement: Support new business initiatives and broker-led opportunities in line with WSI’s growth strategy. Assist in identifying distribution opportunities and areas for relationship development. Monitor market developments, broker strategies, and competitor activity, providing insights to senior stakeholders.
  • MI, Data & Insights: Produce, analyse, and interpret broker MI, including sales metrics, pipeline activity, and performance against targets. Maintain accurate records of broker interactions and distribution data. Translate data into meaningful business insights and recommendations for underwriting and senior management.

  • Commercially curious with a strong interest in the Lloyd’s market.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and keen to take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working with data and translating analysis into insights.
  • Collaborative team player with a client-focused mindset and global outlook.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced market environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in broker or carrier management, business development, underwriting assistant, or distribution role within the Lloyd’s or London market. Strong analytical capability with experience handling, interpreting, and presenting MI and data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships across geographies. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft suite and CRM systems.
  • Desirable: Experience within a Lloyd’s managing agent or syndicate environment. Experience managing European broker or carrier relationships. Exposure to collaboration with US-based stakeholders or international distribution teams. Knowledge of Lloyd’s market practices and distribution structures. Exposure to business planning, market strategy, or account planning. Familiarity with reporting tools or data visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI).
