About the role
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for technology, strong communication skills, and a desire to grow within the IT field. You’ll gain hands-on experience with a wide range of systems and tools and play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. Whether you’re helping a new starter get set up or troubleshooting a network issue, your work will directly impact the productivity and satisfaction of your colleagues. This is a hybrid role working two days from our Sheffield office and three days from home (subject to business needs).
Your responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for all technical support queries within the organization.
- Balance multiple technical issues at any one time, prioritising effectively while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Diagnose and resolve basic technical problems, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate teams.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service.
What you’ll bring
- GCSE Maths and English – 4 or above
- Level 3 National Diploma/NVQ or above in relevant field
- A/T Level or above in relevant field – C or above
- Completed apprenticeship in relevant field
- CompTIA or similar in relevant field
- ITIL Level Foundation or above
- Good understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and common desktop applications
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware including SSD, RAM and screen repair/replacement
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
- 2 or more years of experience in an IT support role
- Self-motivated with the ability to think creatively
- Strong customer service and willingness to go the extra mile
- Attention to detail and resilience
- A strong desire to be accountable and to exceed expectations
- Personal growth and learning mindset
- Articulate with strong communication skills (oral and written)
