Sports Therapist / Physiotherapist in Watford

• Provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports injuries to student-athletes.
• Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and injury prevention programs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in line with best practice.
• Support pitch-side for all home games (football), ensuring immediate response to injuries and first aid needs.
• Liaise with coaches, PE staff, and external medical professionals to ensure optimal care and recovery plans for athletes.
• Educate students on self-care, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.

The duties and responsibilities listed above describe the post as it is at present. This role will be reviewed annually as part of the performance appraisal process and the post holder is expected to accept any reasonable alterations that may from time to time be necessary. • Degree in Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field.
• HCPC registration (for physiotherapists) or relevant professional accreditation.
• First Aid qualification (e.g. "Emergency First Aid at Work" or equivalent) - pitch-side qualification desirable.

Relevant Experience

• Experience of working in a school setting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience working with adolescent athletes and knowledge of football and basketball injury profiles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
