Westfield Academy wishes to appoint a part time Science Technician to join our small team of Science Technicians providing support for our science laboratories. We have an outstanding Science department delivering a wide range of courses. We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard as part of a team and who has a commitment to the power of education to transform lives.
Previous experience of working as a laboratory technician, not necessarily in a school, is an advantage. Hours each day could be arranged to fit around childcare commitments. We are ideally looking for someone who is organised, flexible, able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Candidates should be educated to GCSE level. Experience in a similar role would be preferable, but not essential as full training will be given.
Working Conditions:
- 20 hours per week, term time only
- Worked over 3 days – must be able to work a Tuesday and Friday
- Flexible to support school hours
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Salary Grade 14, £25,185 - £25,989 pro rata (Actual salary: £11,657 - £12,029)
