We’re looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team in Kings Hill, West Malling. In this role, you will be the dedicated communications partner for our Customer, Supply Chain, and Enabling Functions, responsible for supporting the delivery of the communications strategy through tangible content and deliverables that make a real difference to the business. You will work across both internal and external communications, assisting with key organisational programmes, managing core channels, and helping to position Westfalia Fruit as the world's leading avocado company. This is a hands-on role in which you will create high-quality content, coordinate projects, and collaborate with stakeholders across markets and functions.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and deliver communication and engagement plans for key group programmes.
- Support the delivery of change and organisational communications, helping land key messages clearly and consistently across affected audiences.
- Produce high-quality content across a range of formats, including press releases, newsletters, intranet pages, campaign materials, stakeholder updates and video scripts.
- Manage core internal channels, including the company intranet and the regular company newsletter, and help shape a more engaging internal communications platform.
- Support local town halls with content creation, key messaging and presentation materials.
- Support Westfalia Fruit's external positioning by maintaining relationships with trade publications and coordinating PR and content for external audiences.
- Monitor relevant industry media and flag potential opportunities or risks to the team leadership.
- Act as a communications partner to market units and to stakeholders across Customer, Supply Chain and Enabling Functions, understanding their day-to-day needs and ensuring activity stays aligned with the global narrative.
- Proactively identify content opportunities and bring them to life across our channels, including simple visual and design assets where needed.
Requirements:
- Background in a communications role, ideally within a corporate, FMCG or agri-business environment.
- Proven experience managing intranets, newsletters, content management systems (CMS) and digital communication tools.
- Comfortably balancing internal employee engagement with external media and PR support.
- Ability to coordinate and execute communication projects, working independently while collaborating closely with the wider team.
- Experience working across markets or within an international, geographically spread organisation.
- Fluency in English is required, along with professional proficiency in French or German.
- Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritise tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A self-starting, adaptable working style, with the confidence to take ownership of deliverables and drive meaningful engagement across the business.
- An intuitive understanding of our company story, values and DNA, with the ability to translate them into compelling content.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with an enthusiastic, curious and highly collaborative mindset.
