We’re looking for a Communications Manager to join our Global Communications Team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a global role, working as part of an international communications team to support key business functions with clear, engaging communications aligned to our global strategy. You will create content, manage communication channels, and support both internal and external initiatives that help position Westfalia Fruit as the world’s leading avocado company. It’s a hands-on role within a fast-growing, evolving business where communications plays a key part in success. You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple regions and report to the Global Head of Communications & Engagement.
Responsibilities- Produce high-quality content across a range of formats, including press releases, newsletters, intranet pages, campaign materials, stakeholder updates, and video scripts.
- Manage and develop the company intranet as a core internal communications channel.
- Write and produce the company newsletter on a regular cycle.
- Support local town halls with content, messaging, and presentation materials.
- Contribute to establishing a more engaging internal communications platform.
- Support Westfalia Fruit's external positioning through trade media management and PR activity.
- Manage relationships with trade publications and coordinate content for external audiences.
- Monitor relevant industry media and flag opportunities or risks.
- Work closely with leaders across Customer, Supply Chain, and Enabling Functions to understand and deliver on their communications needs.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, aligned with the company's strategic narrative, and tailored to the right audiences.
- Proactively identify what needs communicating and propose approaches without waiting to be briefed.
- Solid experience in a communications management role, ideally within a corporate, FMCG, or agri-business environment.
- Track record of delivering communications for change programmes and organisational projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) to produce visual content and materials in-house.
- Strong writing and content creation skills across multiple formats and channels.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritise independently.
- Proactive, self-starting working style with the confidence to take ownership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience in managing intranets, newsletters, or other internal communications platforms.
- Additional European languages are a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with trade media and PR activity is desirable.
- Experience organising events such as town hall meetings is advantageous, including supporting planning, coordination, and delivery.
