About Us
The Faculty of Health Sciences is a large, diverse, and comprehensive unit, comprised of seven Schools (Nursing, Kinesiology, Health Studies, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders and Food and Nutritional Sciences), a large Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and four Research Centers. The Faculty has more than 4,000 undergraduate students and more than 900 graduate students (200 PhD students). The Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing generates knowledge and prepares nurses to be transformative leaders and innovators through equity‑promoting research, education, and practice, locally and globally.
Responsibilities
- The Project Manager oversees and allocates work assignments and functions to support a program, research project, department or other business unit.
- The incumbent will participate in the development of processes, provide expertise in response to client needs, and offer support and advice for process improvements or modified client services.
- The Project Manager will support the implementation of a variety of strategies, systems and procedures.
- The incumbent will serve as a principal source of information regarding administrative functions, and will monitor, provide analysis, information and reports for review and forecasting.
- The Project Manager will also participate in hiring, developing, scheduling and overseeing staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduated Degree in Nursing, PhD Preferred.
- Extensive understanding of Western's Nursing curriculum and programs.
- Working knowledge of IQAP standards.
- Experience with CASN and CNO program approval and accreditation processes.
- Extensive research experience with the field of Nursing.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience facilitating groups, achieving consensus.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate a large project to completion.
