We are seeking an Educational and Vocational Specialist for the SSG Fox SPGP.
**Must be an eligible Veteran**
Responsibilities & Duties:
The objective of this position is to provide support to Veterans by connecting them with services that foster educational/vocational opportunities, resume writing, as well as translating military experience into civilian career opportunities. This position will also assist Veterans in obtaining VA benefits specifically the GI Bill and Veteran Readiness and Employment services along with as various other training services and educational assistance. Provide outreach services to ensure that eligible individuals, including those who are at highest risk of suicide or who are not receiving health care or other services furnished by VA, and their families are identified, engaged, and provided suicide prevention services. This position must exercise sound judgement, demonstrate initiative, have exceptional organization skills, proficient verbal and written communication, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Qualifications and Skills:
**Must be an eligible Veteran**
· Currently possess, or can acquire, base access
· Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record
· Certified peer specialist within months of hire
· Experience in using various computer software applications and/or Electronic Health Record (Preferred)
