Overview
Overall responsible for all performance and attribution information and delivery. Oversee the daily, monthly and quarterly production of accurate and timely portfolio and composite performance results and associated reporting. Review and distribute all equity and fixed income attribution data and reports. Develop and provide comprehensive risk management reporting package to FWIA and W&S Senior Management. Responsible for ensuring all performance composites are maintained in accordance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS). Provide technical guidance, assign projects and direct the workflow of the associate responsible for creating the daily, monthly and quarterly reporting. Establish, implement and manage daily policy and procedures of the performance department to meet the needs of portfolio management, marketing and senior management in a manner which is compliant with SEC, NASD, GIPS and related regulatory rules, laws and requirements. Document all activities to produce audit trails for internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Oversee the calculation and delivery of portfolio and composite performance on a daily basis.
- Direct the resolution of any performance issues that arise.
- Review and distribute all equity and fixed income attribution data and reports to Portfolio Managers and Senior Management within FWIA.
- Provide comprehensive risk management reporting package to FWIA and W&S Senior Management.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers to research performance problems and assist portfolio managers and senior management in their analysis of performance returns and attribution.
- Provide recommendations to management about ways to increase efficiency and decrease risk within the performance department.
- Responsible for ensuring all performance composites are maintained in accordance with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
- Develop and maintain policies and procedure documentation for all composites in accordance with GIPS standards.
- Primary contact with external auditor for the annual audit of performance results.
- Keep abreast of new regulations and trends in the industry and recommend solutions to ensure FWIA remains compliant and current with the market.
- Work closely with Marketing to produce performance returns for marketing brochures, new client presentations, requests for proposals, consultant questionnaires, etc.
- Partner with the systems group to troubleshoot issues and expand on current report offerings.
- Provide strategic recommendations for the performance area to include new initiatives, personnel and projects.
- Additional projects as directed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor\’s Degree In business or commensurate work experience. (Required)
- Working knowledge of and prior experience with administration of equity and fixed income securities, performance portfolios and portfolio composites. (Required)
- Excellent analytical ability and numerical skills.
- Advanced knowledge of portfolio and composite performance calculations (including linking, weighting, dispersion, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards with ability to obtain GIPS performance certification.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to develop and document procedures and activities.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and work independently.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to resolve issues across various management levels.
- Ability to deal with confidential information.
- Willingness to assist others and be a team player.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to quickly gain working knowledge of Eagle pace, Advent Axys, PAM and possibly other software packages.
- CIPM designation or working toward. Upon Hire (Required)
Work Setting/Position Demands:
- Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
- Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
- Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously. Visual acuity is required to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.
