Caretaker/Cleaner

Location: On-site, Cardiff
Hours: Monday–Friday, 06:30–15:30
Salary: Wales Living Wage (with potential bonuses)
Holiday: 20 days Plus 8 Bank Holidays
Contract: Permanent (3-month probation period)

We\’re on the lookout for a hands-on hero to keep our building in tip-top shape. If you\’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in a freshly cleaned carpet, a perfectly painted wall, and bins that are always out on time—this might just be your calling.

What You\’ll Be Doing

• Keeping communal areas clean, tidy, and welcoming
• Performing weekly / monthly health & safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lights, AOVs)
• Deep cleaning, carpet machine cleaning, and window cleaning
• Painting and general handyman tasks
• Maintaining a spotless bin store and managing council waste collection schedules
• Following a structured weekly routine while staying proactive and organised
• Keeping an up-to-date inventory of cleaning supplies and products and completing quarterly stock checks.
• Completing additional maintenance tasks as and when required by the Building Manager

What You\’ll Bring

• Solid experience in health & safety procedures and a good understanding of safety in the workplace and building safety installations.
• Confidence with cleaning equipment and handyman tools
• A knack for routine, structure, and self-motivation
• Pride in keeping spaces fresh, functional, and safe

• Commercial cleaning background
• Handy with repairs, fixes, and odd jobs
