We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Customer Service Representative on a part time basis. The role is responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager in following up on leads, prospecting for new customers, and setting confirmed appointments with customers. They will also support order management and account management processes such as setting up new accounts for billing, preparing quotes and quoting support in delivering solutions, helping coordinate shipments, and post-shipment support.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Driving New & Existing Business
- Be the primary contact for customers and prospects related to sales.
- Educating customers on products that best fit their needs and technical specifications.
- Spotting, generating, and managing profitable sales opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Supporting BDMs (Business Development Managers) with market research to find potential new customers and product applications.
- Carrying out team administration needs as and when required including following up on sales leads or quotations.
- Customer Focus
- Entering all sales activities into the customer relationship management (CRM) system (NetSuite).
- Developing long‑term customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Providing quotations to customers when appropriate.
- Supporting key accounts to ensure a high‑quality service is provided and all opportunities are maximized.
- Providing day‑to‑day contact to ensure orders are managed, products and services are delivered, and quality is ensured.
- Ensuring that any customer complaints are acted in a swift and timely manner.
- Administrative
- Be responsible for receiving and transferring inbound calls, acting as a barrier for unwanted ‘cold’ calls.
- Arranging sales meetings between clients and the Business Development Manager.
- Working with the BDM Team to support pipelines and forecasting.
- Supporting with follow‑up tasks, activity notes, and new client communications to keep the BDM on the road.
What We Are Looking For In Our Ideal Customer Service Representative
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing industry or technical environment.
- Good standard of IT capability e.g. Microsoft Outlook & Word.
- Previous use of a CRM tool ideally NetSuite.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator on the telephone and in person.
- High levels of both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize.
- Multi‑task to meet deliverables with little supervision.
