Position Summary: The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus. This position is exempt from the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act (EHRA). The primary purpose of this position is to deliver impactful clinical services that support students' mental health and well-being. This includes providing individual and group counseling, supervision of trainees, crisis intervention, consultations, assessment, and outreach presentations. By combining these vital responsibilities, this position plays a key role in fostering a vibrant and supportive campus environment where WCU students can thrive.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Masters degree in counseling, clinical/counseling psychology, social work or related psychology degree.
  • Eligibility to be licensed to provide mental health care in the state of North Carolina by hire date. Once licensed, NC licensure must be maintained to remain employed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of post-graduate clinical counseling experience service.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing crisis intervention services.
  • Experience working in a college counseling center providing services to diverse students, faculty, and staff.
