This posting is to fulfill administrative support needs as they arise across all departments. While the pool remains active, applicants will be contacted as needed.

Please Note: Temporary employees are paid bi-weekly on an hourly basis and do not receive benefits.

This position is on site at our Cullowhee (or Biltmore) campus. General administrative work that may include:

  • Answering phones
  • Managing calendars
  • Word processing
  • Possible spreadsheet development and/or maintenance
  • Other duties as may be assigned specific to a department

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Quick learner, ability to work independently

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma and a minimum of 1-2 years office environment experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Final candidates are subject to criminal & sex offender background checks. Some vacancies also require credit or motor vehicle checks. Western Carolina University uses E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.

All new employees are required to have listed credentials/degrees verified within 30 days of employment. All new employees who will be teaching are required to provide official transcripts within 30 days of employment.
