WCU, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has adopted a \”Get Vaccinated or Get Tested\” policy effective September 15, 2021. This will require you demonstrate evidence of full vaccination upon hire or be subject to regular testing.

Applications are currently invited for part-time instructors in the Physical Therapy department in the College of Health and Human Sciences. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is an entry-level program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
The Physical Therapy department commonly has the need for part-time instructors. We invite applications to be submitted for these potential openings.
These appointments are on a course by course basis. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and discipline. These postings are continuous to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of WCU at any time you will be contacted to discuss proposed teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.

WCU embraces its role as a regionally engaged university and is designated by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a community engaged university. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to public engagement through their teaching, service, and scholarship.

Expertise and experience in teaching Physical Therapy in post-secondary environments is preferred.

Minimum qualifications for teaching in the academic programs are a doctor\’s or master\’s degree in the teaching discipline or master\’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).

A terminal degree and teaching and/or work-related experience with university students. Licensure (or eligibility) in Physical Therapy.
