We are currently seeking Window Operatives to join our production team at Western Building Systems. This is a hands‑on role offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects involving both PVC and aluminium window systems, supporting the delivery of high‑quality modular and off‑site construction projects across multiple sectors.
As a Window Operative, you will be involved in the manufacture of window systems, working within our in‑house manufacturing facilities and supporting site requirements where necessary. This role plays an important part in maintaining Western Building Systems’ high standards of quality, accuracy and efficiency throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture and assemble PVC and aluminium window systems to specification
- Prepare windows for installation, ensuring quality and accuracy at all stages
- Operate machinery and hand tools safely and effectively
- Assist with glazing, fitting and finishing works as required
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Work closely with production and installation teams to meet project deadlines
- Experience working with window systems, fabrication or manufacturing is desirable
- A practical, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions, drawings and production schedules
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety practices
- Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team
