About The Role

  • Part Time Hospitality Assistant x 2
  • 24 hours per week

Our core opening hours are Monday – Sunday 9am – 3.30pm.

Working flexibly 4 days per week. 1 day of work will always be on a Sunday.

The role

We're looking for two friendly, reliable and customer focused Hospitality Assistants to be the face of this new service.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a brand new offering from the very beginning.

Initially offered as a 6 month fixed-term contract while we evaluate the success of the concept, there is the potential for the role to become permanent.

You'll be responsible for the day to day running of the Community Coffee Hub, preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, light snacks and refreshments, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and providing a warm, welcoming experience for every visitor.

The Community Coffee Hub is located separately from the main crematorium building, so you'll need to be confident working independently and managing your own workload throughout the day.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing and serving a range of hot and cold beverages.
  • Serving light snacks and refreshments.
  • Providing a warm, friendly and respectful service to all visitors.
  • Handling card payments.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reporting when supplies need replenishing.
  • Opening and closing the Community Coffee Hub.
  • Overall Accountability
  • To own the Community Coffee Hub and be instrumental in its ongoing development.
  • Maintain exemplary food hygiene in line with internal and EHO standards.
  • Accurate stock handling

About you

  • Previous Hospitality experience working in a Front of House or Back of House Hospitality setting in a café / restaurant / bar / hotel etc as a Hospitality Assistant / Barista / Waiter / Waitress / Server / Kitchen Assistant would be preferred.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate – Level 2 (training provided).
  • A real team player with natural compassion and the desire to make a difference every day.
  • Flexible in approach to working hours.
  • Comfortable communicator able to speak to people in a caring and understanding manner and provide a first class level of customer service.
  • Organised with excellent attention to detail.
