About The Role
40 hours per week working flexibly over 5 days of the week (which will include weekend availability appointments & after hour appointments when required).
£26,842 - £28,000 per annum basic salary + commission + benefits. Permanent position at Forest Park Cemetery & Crematorium.

The role involves offering dedicated one-to-one support and guidance when discussing the variety of memorial options available, helping families honour their loved ones in a way that is uniquely personal to them for now and years to come. You will be leading bereaved families through their Memorial Journey with exceptional care, being mindful of the different stages of the grief journey. This role is very much an ethical, consultative sales role focused on building trusted relationships over time, matching back specific solutions to individual needs.
You will be involved in a variety of tasks each day including:
- Active listening and asking questions to understand the family and their grief process.
- Developing a consistent and ethical consultative sales approach, prioritising our families’ needs.
- Leading and managing our commercial conversations with exceptional care.
- Ensuring families are presented with every possible choice to create a memorial that is uniquely personal to them.
- Making calls and booking appointments with families.
- Using our bespoke IT system called Chronicle (training provided) to discuss memorial options.
- Walking the grounds with a family to show them different plots available.
- Answering the phone, actioning email enquiries and sending outbound paperwork/letters.
- Liaising with different suppliers to place orders and bring everything together.
- Providing families with a breakdown of costs and processing final transactions.
- Communicating with families about memorial leases and extensions, overseeing renovations and repairs to memorials, and maintaining accurate record keeping.
This role requires flexibility and teamwork to support each other and provide the exceptional care and service that we are known for.
About You
Previous experience as a Sales Executive/Sales Advisor/Sales Assistant/Sales Representative/Sales Consultant/Funeral Arranger is preferred. Consultative sales experience is essential. A driving licence is required as some travel may occasionally be necessary. You should be a natural communicator with a flair for building relationships and providing excellent customer service, able to speak to people in a caring and understanding manner. Resilience, organisation, and attention to detail are crucial. Excellent administration and IT skills are needed, including proficiency in Word/Excel.
