The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
You will be working with a lady in her thirties with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy in her own home and in the Cardiff area. This Client lives with her husband, cat and dog and likes to live a full and active lifestyle.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal and domestic care in the client’s home.
- Support the client to attend and participate in a wide range of activities, including going to the gym/boxing.
- Assist with caring for the client’s cat and dog.
- Assist with activities related to the client’s interests, including art, head painting, and running regular market stalls.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience of supporting people is essential.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- You must be registered with, or able to register with, Social Care Wales.
- You must hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) OR have completed the All-Wales Induction Framework OR be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successful.
- Competent IT skills are desirable.
Hours and Pay
- Hours – Week 1: 24 hours (day and night)
- Hours – Week 2: 28 hours (over two days)
- Rate: £15.00 per hour weekdays
- Rate: £16.15 per hour weekends
- Weekday night / Sleep rate: £13.16 per hour
- Weekend night / Sleep rate: £13.70 per hour
- Bank holidays time and a half
Background Checks and Registration
This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure from the DBS. You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
