About the Role

Westcon‑Comstor is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vendor Success Manager to spearhead the growth of one of our key networking vendors – Meter. Meter is a US‑based technology company, gaining presence in the UK. It builds full‑stack enterprise network infrastructure, combining hardware, software, and managed operations to provide businesses with a modern, secure and reliable network. This role is dedicated exclusively to building, scaling, and optimizing Meter's presence within Westcon's extensive partner network. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary driver of Meter's channel strategy, partner enablement, and revenue growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Channel Strategy & Growth
    • Build and execute go‑to‑market strategies to expand Meter across the Westcon channel ecosystem.
    • Recruit and onboard strategic partners to increase market reach.
    • Drive revenue growth through partner engagement and performance programs.
    • Set growth targets and develop plans to achieve them.
  • Partner Enablement & Support
    • Deliver training, sales tools, and playbooks to accelerate partner readiness.
    • Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle.
    • Coordinate internally to ensure partners receive timely resources and assistance.
  • Relationship Management
    • Develop strong relationships with key partner stakeholders and act as primary point of contact.
    • Run regular business reviews to assess performance and uncover opportunities.
    • Align with vendor management teams on joint initiatives and programs.
  • Market Intelligence & Advocacy
    • Track market trends and competitive insights to shape channel strategy.
    • Feed partner and customer insights back to Meter for product/program improvements.
    • Represent Meter at partner events and identify new vertical or regional opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
    • Monitor and report on pipeline, revenue, and partner engagement metrics.
    • Provide forecasts and business updates to leadership.
    • Use data insights to optimise channel programs and partner investment.

About You – Required Experience, Skills & Competencies

Essential

  • 5+ years' experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development within the IT or networking sector.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling channel programmes and driving revenue through partner ecosystems.
  • Strong technical understanding of networking technologies such as SD‑WAN, enterprise networking, or related infrastructure solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute effective channel strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working with distribution partners and value‑added resellers (VARs).
  • Highly self‑motivated, capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 40%) for partner meetings and industry events.

Desirable

  • Experience working with emerging networking vendors or innovative technology solutions.
  • Existing relationships within the networking channel ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of partner portals, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and channel analytics tools.
  • Technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
