About the role
Westcon‑Comstor is one year into an ambitious transformation towards Agile ways of working, and we are now seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to help accelerate that journey. This is not a BAU Scrum Master role. We are looking for someone who has already operated at a senior level and can confidently lead, challenge, influence, and evolve Agile delivery in a complex, enterprise environment. You will play a pivotal role in moving teams beyond "doing Agile" to genuinely delivering outcomes, positively influencing colleagues across our Data Strategy and Technology teams, as well as senior stakeholders across the business. If you are comfortable taking the bull by the horns, shaping behaviour change, and embedding Agile practices that actually work, this role offers significant scope to make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing
- As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be accountable for enabling high‑performing, cross‑functional Agile teams that deliver meaningful outcomes aligned to Westcon‑Comstor's strategic priorities, including digital transformation, platform modernisation, data and analytics, and operational excellence.
- Act as Scrum Master for one or more Agile delivery teams and value streams, supporting end‑to‑end delivery of business outcomes.
- Drive improved flow, focus, predictability, and value delivery – shifting teams from activity‑based execution to outcome‑oriented delivery.
- Facilitate Scrum events with intent, ensuring they enable inspection, adaptation, and real decision‑making.
- Apply Agile and Lean principles pragmatically, avoiding dogma in favour of what demonstrably improves delivery.
- Coach teams and individuals in self‑management, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Create an environment of psychological safety while maintaining strong deliverability accountability.
- Proactively surface and help resolve delivery risks, systemic impediments, and dependencies – working beyond team boundaries where required.
- Align team delivery with portfolio objectives and enterprise priorities, providing clear delivery insights on progress, risk, predictability, and value.
- Act as a thought leader in the evolution of our Agile delivery model, contributing to communities of practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and coach less experienced Scrum Masters, raising Agile maturity across the organisation.
Essential Experience & Capabilities
- 3+ years experience operating as a Senior Scrum Master within a complex, enterprise‑scale organisation.
- 5+ years experience in technology or delivery roles, working confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving Agile transformation, not just supporting established teams.
- Strong, practical knowledge of Scrum, Agile, and Lean principles, applied pragmatically.
- Scrum Master certification(s).
- Significant hands‑on experience with Jira, with the ability to operate confidently from day one.
- Experience working within EMEA and/or global enterprises.
- Exposure to scaled Agile approaches such as SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale, or similar.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and operate credibly with senior and executive leaders.
Location & Working Pattern
This role is offered on a hybrid basis. While much of the work can be done remotely, regular presence at our Bracknell office will be required for key meetings, workshops, and collaboration sessions. Candidates who are within a reasonable commuting distance of Bracknell are preferred.
