Overview
The Global Talent Acquisition Lead defines and drives the worldwide talent acquisition strategy, setting the standards and frameworks that enable consistent, high-quality TA‑practices across all our regions.
Based in the UK and reporting to the Senior People Director for Europe, this role combines global strategic ownership with direct hands‑on recruitment accountability for UK & Ireland, and leading and developing the EU TA team.
The successful candidate will be a credible, data‑driven talent leader who can operate at both strategic and operational level – building scalable and future‑fit TA practices, whilst remaining close to the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Global TA Standards & Strategy
- Define, implement and ensure ongoing adoption of global Talent Acquisition standards, frameworks, and best practices that enable consistent hiring quality across all regions.
- Establish a Centre of Excellence to drive recruitment innovation, governance, and compliance worldwide.
- Champion the adoption of digital tools, ATS platforms, and analytics to enhance sourcing, selection, and overall experience for candidates and hiring teams.
- Act as the internal authority on TA methodology, tooling, and market intelligence.
- Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Conduct a thorough review of existing TA processes globally, identifying inefficiencies and implementing meaningful improvements.
- Streamline recruitment workflows to improve speed, quality, consistency, and user experience.
- Develop and maintain TA metrics and reporting frameworks, using data to drive decisions and demonstrate impact.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and global recruitment standards across all regions.
- UK & Ireland Recruitment Execution
- Personally lead end‑to‑end recruitment for the UK & Ireland business, including critical hires and senior‑level positions.
- Build strong partnerships with UK & Ireland business leaders to forecast talent needs and co‑create proactive hiring plans.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- EU TA Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the EU Talent Acquisition team, driving a high‑performance culture rooted in collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the EU TA team, providing coaching and development to elevate individual and team capability.
- Foster a team environment that embraces innovation, inclusivity, and agile ways of working.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Employer Brand
- Partner with senior leaders and People Business Partners to align talent acquisition activity with business priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor on workforce planning, talent market trends, and hiring strategy.
- Build and manage relationships with external partners, agencies, and talent communities to strengthen pipeline and employer brand.
- Design and champion inclusive hiring practices that reflect diverse working and learning styles.
- Must‑Have Skills & Experience
- Proven experience defining and implementing talent acquisition strategies at a global or multi‑regional level.
- Track record of successfully streamlining TA processes and delivering measurable operational improvements.
- Hands‑on recruitment experience, including direct hiring accountability within the UK & Ireland market.
- Experience leading and developing TA teams across multiple geographies. A values‑led people leader.
- Strong expertise in ATS platforms, digital sourcing tools, and recruitment analytics.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and broader European labour market dynamics.
- Experience in working across cultures.

- Experience in global distribution, technology, or other fast‑paced, complex organisations.
- Familiarity with employer branding strategy and recruitment marketing.
- Experience leading AI integration or other innovative TA technology projects.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in recruitment strategy, HR, or diversity hiring are advantageous.
