Westcon Comstor is accelerating its use of AI and advanced analytics to drive value across the business. The AI Lead, Operate is a senior, high-visibility role responsible for operationalizing AI across the organization - maximizing adoption, ensuring compliant use, and driving measurable return on AI investments. This leader will own the Operate workstream within the Analytics & AI team, partnering closely with the Generate and Integrate workstreams and with business stakeholders globally. They will champion AI-enabled transformation, lead organizational change efforts, and ensure AI capabilities are embedded into daily processes, behaviours, and decisions.
A key focus of this role is ensuring AI solutions are delivered as real operational capability, using UiPath as a backbone orchestration layer to coordinate workflow execution, human-in-the-loop decision points, and enterprise system actions - supported by a governed data foundation in Snowflake and enterprise AI capabilities across Azure AI. This will be a hybrid role, aligned to local UK work from office policies. The individual can be located near any of our UK offices, although preferably Bracknell or London where other D&A colleagues are located.
AI Adoption & ROIDrive organization-wide adoption of AI solutions to maximize ROI on AI initiatives. Monitor, measure, and communicate business value and performance of AI tools and workflows. Identify adoption risks early and implement mitigation and enablement strategies to sustain usage beyond launch. Build and execute the operating model for AI deployment, adoption, and lifecycle management, including feedback loops into AI product and devops teams. Lead change management approaches, including stakeholder engagement, training, communications, readiness planning, and user enablement at scale. Translate complex AI/ML, automation, and orchestration concepts into simple, practical experiences for end users. Own the Operate execution layer for AI-enabled workflows, using UiPath as the orchestration backbone to ensure AI solutions move from proof-of-value to stable, repeatable production execution. Partner with Generate and Integrate workstreams to ensure automation and AI workflows are operationalized end-to-end with: human-in-the-loop approvals and exception routing monitoring, alerting, and runbook-driven support traceability, auditability, and operational controls.
Establish operational practices for workflow reliability and performance, including incident handling, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across orchestrated processes. Ensure orchestration patterns align to enterprise governance expectations including secure access, controlled execution, audit logs, and regional operational requirements. Leverage enterprise foundations to support adoption and measurement, including: Snowflake for governed data, trusted metrics, and adoption/value reporting; Azure AI and related services for enterprise model and AI capability enablement; connected enterprise apps to drive closed-loop business outcomes (not just insights).
Stakeholder Engagement & InfluenceDevelop strong relationships across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, and other global teams. Serve as a trusted advisor and internal consultant to functional leaders seeking to realize measurable value from AI. Collaborate with the Generate (AI product development) and Integrate (business app integration) workstreams to ensure solutions deliver real-world impact and lasting adoption.
Governance, Compliance & Responsible AIEnforce policies and standards for compliant, secure, and ethical AI usage. Partner with Legal, InfoSec, and IT on AI governance, risk management, user guidelines, and safe enablement. Proactively identify and elevate risks related to data quality, privacy, operational misuse, or unintended outcomes.
Communication & EnablementCreate clear, engaging communications that build understanding and excitement around AI capabilities. Develop and deliver training, playbooks, onboarding materials, and success stories tailored to business roles and regions. Facilitate knowledge-sharing, community-building, and user support across regions to scale adoption and maturity.
Required Skills & Experience8+ years in roles spanning business transformation, digital adoption, analytics, AI enablement, and/or enterprise automation operations. Proven success driving adoption of AI/analytics or emerging technologies in a complex global organization. Exceptional communicator and synthesizer of technical content for non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and lead cross-functional workstreams. High degree of creativity, energy, ownership, and collaboration. Experience in technology, distribution, or channel/partner ecosystems preferred. Comfortable operating as an individual contributor in a senior leadership capacity.
Preferred / Strongly Desired (Operate + Platform Experience)Experience operating or scaling UiPath solutions in production, including: UiPath Orchestrator monitoring, queues, triggers, logs, and execution controls; incident management, support models, and runbook-based operations; governance patterns (role-based access, credential handling, audit trails). Foundational understanding of enterprise AI and data platforms and how they support operational adoption and measurement, including: Snowflake for governed data foundations, trusted metrics, and AI enablement reporting; Azure AI ecosystem for enterprise-grade AI services, security patterns, and responsible AI considerations. Familiarity with enterprise lifecycle practices (release readiness, adoption tracking, operational stability) across global teams and regions.
What Success Looks LikeHigh adoption and satisfaction levels across key AI solutions, sustained beyond initial rollout. Measurable financial and operational ROI from AI investments, supported by credible reporting and trusted metrics. Clear, consistent operating processes established and followed across regions. Strong business alignment and trust in the AI program and its outcomes. Safe, compliant AI use embedded into day-to-day execution and decision-making. UiPath-orchestrated AI workflows operating reliably at scale, connecting governed data foundations (Snowflake), enterprise AI enablement (Azure AI), and real business execution across functions.
