To be considered for this role, applicants must reside in local proximity of our York, UK office and have legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom. Westchester Publishing Services UK is growing to support our expanding client list. We currently have a full-time opening for an academic and trade publishing project manager. The position is hybrid, with a requirement for 3 days per week spent on-site in our York, UK office and 2 working from home. You will be working across multiple publisher accounts and be responsible for at least 5 of your own.
Responsibilities
- Manage schedules, workflows, budgets, freelancers, and suppliers
- Copyedit and proofread to quality-check the work of freelancers and our in-house typesetting teams
- Ability to understand XML-first workflows, digital and litho publishing
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years book and journal production experience
- Prior work experience in academic publishing highly desirable
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Knowledge and ability to retain different house styles
- Excellent client-facing attitude essential
