Westchester Publishing Services UK is a division of Westchester Publishing Services, based in Danbury, Connecticut, US. We have been in operation since 1969, providing editorial, typesetting, digital conversion, and design services to more than 600 publisher clients worldwide. Westchester Publishing Services UK is growing to support our expanding client list. We currently have an opening for 30 hours (5 days) per week, for an academic and trade publishing project manager. The position is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week spent on-site in our York office and 3 working from home.
You will be working across multiple publisher accounts and be responsible for accounts of your own.
Responsibilities:- Manage schedules, workflows, budgets, freelancers, and suppliers
- Copyedit and proofread to quality-check the work of freelancers and our in-house typesetting teams
- Ability to understand XML-first workflows, digital and litho publishing
- Minimum of two years book and journal production experience
- Prior work experience in academic publishing highly desirable
- Exceptional organisational skills
- Knowledge and ability to retain different house styles
