Westbury-on-Trym CE Academy is a successful, thriving and vibrant community-oriented school and are looking to appoint a Site Manager to oversee all site management, maintenance and security. Following our highly positive Ofsted inspection in April 2025, and SIAMS inspection in October 2024, our journey to improve further continues.

The role is not a conventional full time job and will require some flexible working to support the school and its operations outside of school hours. The post holder will live on site to help facilitate this.

The Site Manager role is central to the smooth running of the school; ensuring the site is safe and secure for all those using the facilities; responding to incidents; co-ordinating lettings; carrying out maintenance and repairs and managing all relevant contractors, paperwork and compliance systems to deliver an effective and efficient service.

The Site Manager will oversee the work of the part-time Assistant Caretaker who is on site during the day when the Site Manager takes their break.

We are looking for a reliable, organised, self-motivated member of the staff team who thrives in a busy working environment and takes pride in their work. If you are interested in this position, whilst an extensive knowledge of education is not required, training will be available to assist you to become familiar with the school's obligations and procedures.

As a school family, we also provide access to a comprehensive employee support package, offering personal and health services, plus homeware and technology discounts and cycle to work scheme.

Applicants are encouraged to visit our Facebook or Instagram page to find out more about our school family. Please contact the school office on 01173772605 or via email if you would like to visit.

Applications need to be submitted by 11.00am on Thursday 11th June 2026. Interviews are planned for Thursday 18th June 2026.

*Please note that this job posting may close earlier than the stated closing date if a sufficient number of applications are received, and you are advised to submit your application as soon as possible.

Westbury-on-Trym CofE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is therefore subject to satisfactory references, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and an occupational health check. All short-listed applicants will be asked to complete a self-declaration of their criminal record or information that would make them unsuitable to work with children and young people. We will also carry out online searches on all short-listed applicants, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, Part 4, Safer Recruitment. Where given permission to do so, references will be requested for short-listed candidates prior to interview.
