We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee our high-quality supported living services for adults with autism, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and complex behaviours. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care in accordance with CQC regulations and best practice guidelines. As the Registered Manager, you will lead the service with integrity, drive and compassion ensuring compliance, safeguarding, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.

Job responsibilities
- Hold and maintain registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Ensure full compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and associated guidance.
- Prepare for and lead on CQC inspections and maintain a rating of Good or Outstanding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislative, regulatory and policy developments relevant to the service.
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred support tailored to individual needs and outcomes.
- Promote a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that services are responsive, inclusive, and adaptable to client needs.
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery against agreed KPIs and quality standards.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the service.
- Ensure timely reporting and robust management of safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures.
- Recruit, supervise and develop staff, ensuring full compliance with safer recruitment practices.
- Deliver staff supervisions, appraisals, and performance management.
- Identify training needs and ensure the workforce is skilled, supported, and compliant with mandatory requirements.
- Oversee assessments, support planning, reviews and transitions in partnership with clients, families, and professionals.
- Ensure support is outcome-focused, strengths-based and promotes independence.
- Build trusting relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals.
Person Specification
- In-depth understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and PBS principles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead with professionalism, emotional intelligence, and ethical integrity.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Working knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Active Support, or trauma-informed care.
Qualifications
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a supported living or similar service.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, challenging behaviour, or forensic backgrounds.
- Experience managing service transitions, new registrations, or service turnarounds.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary: £35,000 to £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
