The Trustees are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Manager who is ready to make a difference to our community by leading the operational running of Westbourne Primary School (Westbourne Academy Trust).
As Business Manager, you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and successfully implementing our strategic vision and development plan. On a day-to-day basis, you will take ownership of all matters relating to finance, compliance, premises, health and safety, contracts and human resources to ensure the smooth and efficient running of operational systems. Responsibilities:
- Is the Academy Trust’s leading support staff professional and works as part of the Senior Team to assist the Executive Headteacher/Head Teacher in his/her duty to ensure that the Trust meets its educational aims.
- Providing professional leadership and management of Trust support staff in partnership with teaching staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school.
- Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the Trust and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the Trust’s learning objectives.
- Financial Resource Management/Administration Management & Related Administration ICT Systems/Human Resource Management/Facility & Property Management/ Health & Safety Management of the Trust.
- Responsible for the Academy’s Annual Accounts preparation and submission of audited accounts to the DfE and Companies House, alongside other financial returns required by the DfE throughout the year.
