Westbourne Academy are searching for the best education professionals to join our trust. Are you passionate about making a difference to our children’s learning? Do you understand the importance of education? Westbourne Academy are looking to appoint a motivated, independent, and hardworking individual to fill the post of Assistant Head of Year. This is a non‑teaching role.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a proactive interest in education and a desire to support the school in achieving the best possible outcomes for all students. The purpose of this role is to enable every student to fulfil their potential as individual learners, effective citizens and well‑rounded individuals. The Assistant Head of Year will lead a team of tutors and influence all staff, as well as parents/carers and all stakeholders, in raising aspiration and improving outcomes for all.
The ideal candidate will have a good basic education to GCSE level (to include English and Maths), have completed relevant courses such as coaching/mentoring/study support and previously worked with young people. You will be an ambitious professional and will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students.
