An excitingopportunity has arisen for an inspirational Team Leader of English to join our school. This vacancy will suit a highly effectiveteacher of English ready to take on or develop their leadership. You will support the Director with the developmentand implementation of the English curriculum across both key stages, ensuringpupils achieve their full potential in this subject. You will be supported to buildon your current excellent practice both as a leader and a highly effectiveteacher of English.

Following the Section 8 Ofsted inspection inJune 2026, Westborough achieved the green expected judgement in everycategory. Inspectors were highly complimentary about the quality ofeducation provided at Westborough, recognising that ‘pupils are supportedwell to achieve.’ The inspectorspraised the professional learning provided to staff and commented ‘staffvalue this support and recognise how this shapes their practice,’ ‘staff areproud to work at the school.’ ‘They feel supported by leaders who takeworkload and wellbeing into consideration’. The Ofsted team also recognisedthat ‘leaders and staff have high expectations of pupils’ in all aspectsof school life, from academic achievement to standards of behaviour. Inspectorsfurther noted that ‘leaders and staff act as role models for pupils. Theybuild effective relationships that are the foundation for highly effectivepastoral support.’ This reflects the caring and ambitious culture that westrive to provide for every young person.
