Are you an experienced and dedicated social care professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Team Manager for the Promoting Independence Team to lead and inspire a team of professionals in delivering high-quality reablement and sensory support services to our local community.

About the Role

  • Leading and managing a team of skilled practitioners to ensure the effective delivery of reablement and sensory support services
  • Working collaboratively with other teams and agencies to promote integrated care and support for individuals
  • Overseeing the assessment and review process, ensuring that individuals' needs are accurately identified and appropriate interventions are put in place
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of reablement services, striving for continuous improvement and innovation
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies

About You

  • Significant experience working in adult social care, with a focus on reablement and sensory support
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in adult social care
  • QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualification
