About The Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of Birchwood Care Home. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily housekeeping duties such as cleaning, dusting, and vacuuming
- Ensuring all areas are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Managing laundry services, including washing, ironing, and folding
- Assisting with the organisation and storage of residents' personal belongings
- Reporting any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel
- Working closely with the Head Housekeeper to ensure the needs of residents are met with care and attention
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience in a housekeeping role, preferably within a care or hospitality environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a thorough approach to cleaning
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with residents and colleagues
- A passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and pride in providing excellent service

Requirements
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016; strong English communication skills are required
- Appointment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check with the relevant Barred List(s)
- Maintain continuous registration with the DBS Update Service for the duration of employment
- This vacancy is being advertised for two positions (37 hours and 35 hours)
