Family Hub Administrative Officer - 04164

Are you an organised and dedicated administrative professional looking to support the delivery of essential family services within our community? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Family Administrative Officer to join the Family Hub team, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our family hub services.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Central Family Hub Manager and other colleagues as required
  • Promote the Family Hubs as a community resource and to provide a warm, welcoming environment for users
  • Coordinating and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
  • Undertake financial administration duties within the Family Hubs, including raising PO’s, invoices and end of month reports
  • Undertake all administration projects relating to the efficient and effective running of the Family Hubs
  • Administer arrangements concerning the use/letting of the Family Hubs’ premises, including health, voluntary providers and other West Berkshire Council Services
  • Process MASH, welfare checks, other CS and referrals and share with relevant Hub Manager as per family hub procedures
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date information and publicity on communications and social media platforms

Skills And Attributes

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a similar environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Empathy and understanding when dealing with families and their needs
