About the Role

Our Domestic Assistants are essential members of the care home team. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control throughout the home, helping to create a safe and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Head Housekeeper.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
  • Follow all infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Adhere to COSHH regulations and safe working practices.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately at all times.
  • Respect the privacy, dignity, and individual needs of residents.
  • Re-stock cleaning trolleys and maintain clean, organised storage areas.
  • Support the wider housekeeping team with additional duties as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
  • Be reliable, hardworking, and take pride in your work.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Have good communication and organisational skills.
  • Be able to prioritise tasks effectively and work efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a caring and respectful approach towards older people.
